Our Mission

LifeGuard Youth Development is committed to the promotion of sexual integrity. Our mission is to enable youth, through education, to make healthy choices that will set the foundation for a successful future.

Our Goals
  • To reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and unplanned pregnancies by educating youth on the risks and consequences involved in premarital sex
  • To help teens stay focused on their goals and dreams by educating youth on the importance of avoiding risky behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, and sex before marriage
  • To equip parents and educators to positively impact youth through parent workshops and educational forums

Funding

The Lifeguard project of The Women's Clinic of Kansas City is supported by the US Department of HHS Administration for Children and Families, Administration on Children, Youth and Families, Family and Youth Service Bureau.
